Oregon ON Voting Members provide housing and economic opportunity for working families, people with disabilities, seniors and others struggling to meet their needs in our economy. They are housing developers, Public Housing Authorities, home ownership educators, stewards of public investment, job creators, service providers, and community leaders. Our members help create sustainable communities. They have developed over 26,000 units of affordable housing including over 2,500 single-family homes for purchase, and provided counseling and education to over 10,000 new home buyers annually.
In March 2011, Oregon ON’s membership voted to change the organization’s by-laws to enable Public Housing Authorities to become full Voting Members. These are challenging times for Oregon’s nonprofits and housing authorities who are committed to developing, managing and preserving housing and related services for low-income Oregonians. As an industry, we all are subject to the changes in this volatile economic climate, the restructure of programs and funding sources for housing, and the increase in the demand for our services across the State. Our collective voice and our industry will only benefit from a larger and more representative membership from across the State. We are delighted to welcome Oregon’s housing authorities as our newest Voting Members!
