MISSION
Rogue Valley CDC promotes viable neighborhoods that enhance healthy, sustainable communities by developing and operating long term affordable housing and community services.

KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS

  • 15 affordable homeownership units created in Mutual Self Help Housing Program
  • Stewarding 15 homes in community land trust
  • 33 units of other affordable housing built or rehabbed
  • Major partner in Rogue Valley Youthbuild collaborative since 2004, teaching at-risk youth construction skills while building affordable housing and assisting with job placement while they earn their GED’s.
  • Deliver Dreamsavers IDA program for homeownership, education, and job training goals.
  • Homebuyer assistance and referral
  • Commissioned market study for a community based performing arts center or small theater in Medford

CURRENT PROJECTS

  • Rice Park at Verde Village, a 15-unit homeownership development using our Mutual Self Help Housing Program. Homes will earn Earth Advantage Platinum certification.
  • Predevelopment on 5 units affordable homeownership
  • Add 8 units to community land trust for permanent affordability in 2009, add 7-12 in 2010
  • Serve 25-30 youth per year in the Rogue Valley Youthbuild program
  • Enroll 10 additional DreamSavers IDA participants education and homeownership goals in 2009
  • Continue working with 23 current IDA participants for education and homeownership goals
