Find Housing

Oregon Opportunity Network does not provide housing, but many of our members and partners do. Below is more information about accessing housing assistance through the many great nonprofit and government agencies across the state.

Housing Assistance

1. To find affordable housing in the Portland Metro area, please visit the excellent website HousingConnections.org.

2. You can connect directly with housing information throughout Oregon by contacting an Oregon ON member in your area.

3. 211info provides information on housing, social services, rent assistance, and other supports. Similar to 911 and 411, anyone can dial 211 from a landline (or 503-222-5555 from a cell phone), or they can visit 211info.org.  On the phone, general information hours are Monday to Friday, 8am – 6pm. Shelter information is available daily 8am – 7pm.

211info used to only serve certain Oregon counties, but since merging with Oregon Safenet, 211 will give you statewide information. At 211info you can still find all the free family health and women’s health services information that you could on OregonSafenet.org. And you can still call 1-800-SAFENET (723-3638). Oregon SafeNet covers 100% of Oregonians and is staffed by the same trained call center specialists that answer the 211 phone line. Callers will receive guidance on accessing services and meeting eligibility guidelines.

4. For foreclosure issues, check out this helpful page at the State of Oregon’s website.
