FALL 2009 INDUSTRY SUPPORT MEETING

Industry Support Program

Oregon ON manages an industry support training program designed to give Oregon non-profit practitioners the opportunity to:

1. Interact with their peers and build professional relationships;
2. Receive training and technical assistance;
3. Develop and promote best practices;
4. Develop new partnerships;
5. Work to achieve policy change; and
6. Provide opportunities for leadership development.

Oregon ON Industry Support Program continues the work begun by the Association of Oregon Community Development Organizations (AOCDO) and the Community Development Network (CDN). Oregon ON has 5 working groups in which interested practitioners meet with their peers. They are:

1. Fiscal Managers
   
2. Homeownership Development
3. Multifamily Development
   
4. Property and Asset Management
5. Resident Services

Oregon ON also partners with other groups that have similar missions, such as:

1. Oregon Homeownership Association (OHA) holds quarterly trainings on Homeownership Education and Counseling issues.
2. Oregon Energy Coordinators Association (OECA)
3. Community Action Partnership of Oregon (CAPO)

Industry Support Conferences:
Twice annually, day-long statewide conferences take place (one in spring, one in fall). At least one of these meetings is held outside the Portland Metro area.

Industry Support Working Group Membership:
