SERVICES OFFERED
1. Service Coordination is one of the primary responsibilities of ROSE’s Resident Assets Coordinators. Tenants receive move-in packets from property management and the Coordinator meets with the new tenant to conduct new move-in orientations. A survey is done to ensure that ROSE services meet the needs of each household. The Coordinator provides comprehensive information and referrals for food, furniture, appliances, clothing, transportation, and low-cost services. Some sites have mobile and/or on site food pantries and partnerships have been created to coordinate ride shares to the local farmers market. Mental health, substance abuse, domestic violence, counseling and employment services are available through agency partnerships. Early childhood education and entrepreneurial opportunities are available through the Child Care Improvement Project. ROSE is Oregon’s recognized leader in designing affordable homes for on-site family child care.

2. Conflict Resolution services are provided by the Resident Assets Coordinators, who work with on-site property managers to support residents in maintaining their housing. Information is shared between Resident Services staff and property managers to address lease violations and tenant disputes. Coordinators assist residents in accessing rent and utility assistance, as well as TANF benefits.

3. Community Building is the key to the successes of the Resident Assets program. Resident gatherings and community education help to build cohesion between tenants. Coordinators strengthen connections among residents and create lasting ties to the surrounding community. Community building activities include potluck dinners, movie nights and community workshops. ROSE encourages us of our facilities for community meetings and events sponsored by partner organizations. Police relations, tenant leadership development and block improvement programs have been initiated by tenants and the Coordinators alike.
