SB1552 – 2012 Legislative Session
Background info: SB 1552, the foreclosure mediation bill, is now in rule-making (click here for summary of bill). Oregon ON is coordinating a housing counselors workgroup, facilitated by Emily Reiman, NEDCO. This workgroup is looking at definition and implication of the requirement that homeowners meet with a housing counselor before they request mediation.
Key info and resource documents for SB1552 – Emily Reiman writes: “these are documents that Janet Byrd provided to the counseling agencies to help with lobbying efforts – including a list of E Board and key subcommittee members, talking points, and a draft letter to legislators. I’ve also included the quick fact sheet that we put together at NEDCO, mostly for our Board and advisory groups, but we’ve also shared it with legislators during our visits with them.”
